Pita Chip Breaded Chicken

What’s one way to spice up your crispy breaded chicken? Use our Classic Spice Pita Chips, crushed up, as a replacement for bread crumbs! This simple recipe brings the flavour without complication, which is our favourite type of recipe. Once you’ve fried up this wonderfully crispy chicken, you can feature it as the main course or add it to a bed of leafy greens to jazz up a salad or toss into a wrap! Pita Chip Breaded Chicken


2lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 egg

2 Tbsp water

1 bag Classic Spice Pita Chips, crushed

½ to 1 tsp salt

2 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil (or more if needed)


  1. Cut each chicken breast in half (so you have thin fillets) and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Whisk egg with water to make an egg wash.
  3. Dip chicken fillets into egg wash, then dip into crushed pita chips to coat with crumbs. 
  4. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add breaded chicken to the skillet and fry 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and thoroughly cooked (to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F).
