Beef Shawarma with Turmeric Tahini Dressing

Here’s a Cedar Valley Selections twist on a well-known Lebanese recipe: Beef Shawarma! A popular Lebanese street food option, this recipe is a healthy, quick, and delicious way to make it at home. We’ve got both Instant Pot and stove top directions to keep you covered, no matter what tools you’ve got at home!

Shawarma is traditionally made with meat that is spit-roasted, with the fat drippings from the meat getting drizzled back onto the meat as it is continuously cooked. This can make the beef or chicken cooked in this method have a slightly higher fat and calorie content than the health-conscious foodie might like. As an alternative, we’ve created a Beef Shawarma recipe using the Instant Pot that allows you to infuse the flavour into the meat without all of the extra fat!
